[JLH]JUSTIN LEE HODGES

I write, make music, and paint. I've been doing it for over twenty years. Poetry, fiction, songs, records, mixed media on canvas. The work comes from the same place regardless of what form it takes.

I started playing music in 2002 in a band called Gazer. We became BMI's Pick of the Month in January 2003 and showcased for Warner Brothers, Interscope, Sony, and other majors. Over 40,000 followers on Myspace by 2005, back when that was where the industry found bands. Gazer kept recording and playing shows until 2009. I've been writing and recording solo since then. Two albums, an EP, singles across streaming platforms.

I wrote a novella called A Great War about grief and time and a man with a revolver. I paint mixed media on canvas. I founded The Wildlight Project, a nonprofit artist marketplace, in memory of someone I lost. I built Analog Obscure, a discovery tool for independent creative work.

The work is here. All of it.
